All your life you have looked on these creatures as untouchable for various reasons. Then someone opens the door into their cage and tells you to touch them.
The big cat feels hot. and somehow you expect it to flinch but it doesn't. Then you are told to lay your head on their haunches for a photo - still no reaction. It all seems a bit eerie.
You are then told to rub their stomach ... Harder.... "scratch really hard". The big cat turns its head slowly, it yawns - it's happy apparently. All good - let's go now!
